The Edison Club Welcomes New Executive Chef, Michael PietrocolaMarch 7, 2017
Esteemed Capital Region chef, Michael Pietrocola, has joined The Edison Club as executive chef and food and beverage manager. Pietrocola brings with him over 30 years of culinary experience.
While a student of Schenectady County Community College’s Culinary Arts Program, Pietrocola honed his craft at numerous area establishments before joining Mohawk Golf Club for eight years as executive chef. Most recently Pietrocola created Italian inspired culinary tours for Cornells in Schenectady.
No stranger to private dining establishments or catering to the public, Pietrocola finds the ability to blend these two worlds at The Edison Club. “I’m delighted to be joining The Edison Club as their new executive chef,” said Pietrocola. “A chef’s work is to always make sure their guests leave happy and satisfied from a great dining experience. A private club with dining access open to the public will bring along its own challenges and I’m ready to showcase a menu which will leave members of the club and members of the public happy and coming back for more,” he continued.
“We’re excited to bring in Chef Pietrocola to The Edison Club,” commented Craig McLean, The Edison Club general manager. McLean continued, “Once we announced to our membership Michael would be joining us we received positive feedback from those familiar with his culinary style and looking forward to his menus.”
John Tattersall, president of The Edison Club, said “Having Michael come on board is a great opportunity for The Edison Club to increase our efforts as a focal point in the community. We’ve recently introduced a number of new memberships to encourage people to consider The Edison Club as a part of their lifestyle. Publicizing our dining as open to the public will also work to enhance our involvement within the community.”
The Edison Club’s dining facilities will be open on a limited winter schedule beginning March 16, 2017 and will open on a full schedule during the golf season. The public is welcome to dine at The Edison Club with reservations recommended. For reservations, please call (518) 399-2393 ext. 330 or ext. 331. More information may be found at www.edisonclub.com.
